This award is for organizations which have sponsored a tournament within either code of rugby. This can be through financial support or the provision of products or services. Entries can be submitted by the sponsoring organization, the tournament rights holder or appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.

Entries must outline the project’s objectives and strategy, how these were met and details of how the sponsorship was leveraged.



Team Sponsor of the Year

This award is for organizations which have sponsored a team within either code of rugby. This can be through financial support or the provision of products or services. US$500,000 represents the minimum total investment including rights purchase and leverage budget. Entries can be submitted by the sponsoring organization, the team rights holder or appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.

Entries must outline the project’s objectives and strategies, how these were met and details of how the sponsorship was leveraged.

 

Outstanding Rugby Equipment or Apparel

This award is for rugby equipment or apparel that has made a tangible contribution to the development of rugby and has benefited players, fans or governance.

Entries for this award can be made directly by rugby organizations or appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties that can show a clear development in the equipment or apparel they manufacture.

 

Outstanding Marketing Activity or Campaign

This award is for PR, sponsorship or advertising activities leveraging a rugby team, club or player in either code. This activity can be based on financial expenditure or the provision of products or services.

US$1,000,000 represents the maximum total investment in the project including rights purchase and leverage budget. Entries can be submitted by the commissioning organization, sponsor, the beneficiary or appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.

Entries must outline the activity’s objectives and strategies, how these were met and details of how rugby was leveraged within the campaign.

 

Outstanding Advance in Technology, Innovation or Research

This award is for a significant breakthrough which has made a tangible contribution to the development of rugby which benefits players, fans or governance.

Entries for this award can be made directly by rugby organizations or appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.

 

Outstanding Commercial Achievement by a Club, Region or Franchise

This award is for outstanding commercial achievement by a club, region or franchise. The award is based on outstanding commercial achievement including revenue generation, through sponsorship, specific hospitality initiatives or any relevant work such as creating or improving sponsored CSR initiatives.

Entries for this award can be made directly by clubs, regions, franchises and provinces of any size or by appropriate agencies, consultancies or third parties.

 

CSR Programme of the Year

This award is for organizations that have created or leveraged a Corporate Social Responsibility programme that has used either or both codes of rugby as the basis for delivering its objectives.

Entries for this award can be made directly by commercial organizations, governing bodies, charities, clubs, franchises, regions and provinces or via nominations from appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.

 

Rugby Correspondent of the Year

This award recognizes an individual journalist whose work is outstanding in terms of consumer content but can also show a significant contribution to the commercial success of the media which employs them.

Entries for this award can be made directly by the journalist, their employer or appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.

Nominations must include three examples of the nominee’s work which will be submitted to the judging panel.

 

Kit Bag Essential

This award seeks to recognize a single item that can be deemed a ‘kit bag essential’ ie something consumers who play rugby, at any level, value highly in terms of their performance either in training, before playing, during a match or as part of their recovery.

Entries for this award can be made directly by the manufacturing organization or appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.


Union, League or Federation of the Year

This award is for a home union, league, federation or national governing body that has shown outstanding achievement in developing either code of the sport commercially.

Rugby Business of the Year

This award recognizes the achievements of any commercial organization which income is dependent, to any significant degree, on activities in either or both codes of rugby.

Entries for this award can be made directly by commercial organizations, governing bodies, charities, clubs, franchises, regions and provinces or via nominations from appropriate agencies, consultancies and third parties.
